Intro

This month, we focused on allowing a broader range of loss model inputs for both our solar and storage models. With more options, users can evaluate the techno-economic trade-offs of a wider range of technical project designs.

As usual, we test usability of new model features first in the API and then incorporate it into the web-app. For this, we rely on feedback from our users to understand what is most important to them, and that we are capturing the details that they seek to model.

Web-app

Customize Module Parameters

Tyba automatically populates the key Inverter & Module related parameters based either on (1) the CEC database or (2) uploaded OND & PAN files. The below panel allows users to customize the bifacial assumptions of the module or model a non-bifacial module as if it were a bifacial module.

Add Custom Transformers

Previously, we had a single transformer loss model for a Medium-Voltage and High-Voltage transformer. This will allow users to input specific assumptions for each, as applicable.

Untitled

Add Custom HVAC System

Similar to the transformers, we had a single linear assumption for HVAC Load losses. With this change, we can model the impact of local temperature, battery operating behavior, and HVAC system assumptions on HVAC load.

API

We expanded our API library to include a broader range of degradation treatments.
